If you’ve been a photographer or filmmaker for a while, you must know how difficult it can be to find a proper camera bag. And although investing in a bag might be less exciting than getting a new lens or camera, bags still play a crucial part in our gear closet because that’s how we can safely carry all that fancy equipment.

In a similar way, Sergio Leone wrote it; There are two kinds of people in the world, those who care about camera bags and those who don’t. I’ve met people with over 20 different bags, some quite similar. And every few weeks, they come up with the latest bag with high-end features, which is supposed to be the perfect camera bag for every situation. Then you have the second kind of people that don’t really care about bags. They have been using the same one for the past ten years, and that’s that. It’s just a bag. I’m somewhere in the middle. (I never said we needed to be in one of these two category). I do love a good camera bag, but I learned a few years ago that there is no such thing as one perfect bag that rules them all — fit for all situations.

Instead, I’m using a few different bags depending on my need.

I have roughly three different kinds of bags (not including cases, suitcases and larger containers for bulky items)

Everyday bag
Hiking/Filmmaking bag
Small sling bag
