I'm Robin Ferand, a French filmmaker and photographer with over nine years of experience in commercial and corporate media production. My commercial portfolio, showcased on robinferandstudio.com, features collaborations with brands like Travel Alberta, BCSPCA, PwC Canada, and EA Sports.

But this website is different—it's more personal and where I share my love for film photography, my thoughts on the evolving relationship between images and time, and my ongoing project documenting places before they change.

Film has always been more than just a medium for me—it's a philosophy. Shooting analog slows me down, making each frame intentional, while digital offers speed and flexibility. Much of my work is driven by a deep connection to place and time, inspired by childhood memories of landscapes lost to development.

Now based on Vancouver Island, I focus on capturing wildlife, collaborating with sustainable brands, and telling stories highlighting conservation's importance. I share this journey, through photography, filmmaking, writing, and a YouTube channel—bridging past and present, digital and analog, craft and storytelling.
